Envelope Clutches

Answering the prayers of women everywhere who love the fashion-forward thinking of a strapless bag, but also carry around more than the bare necessities, the envelope clutch is on the job for spring and fall 2011. Lanvin’s utilitarian version added a new drama to the office, while Balenciaga’s opulent braided numbers were born for a night of mischief. No matter where you decide the envelope clutch fits in your life (or how much you can fit inside it) here are some options we’re craving:

Bow Sandals

Bows make a comeback this season, and they’re adorning some of the cutest sandals available now. Whether it’s a casual look you’re going for or the exquisite, these styles will put a little pretty in your step. Check out these chic sandals and go bow crazy!

Spring 2011 Trend: Fanny Packs

Yes, you read that correctly. While most designers decided to shrink down the size of our carryalls into envelope clutches or cross-body bags, a few decided to go old school with the fanny pack. It might not appear fashionable at first glance, but it is certainly practical. A waist-purse would be perfect to have for a day out shopping, at a concert, or while babysitting—basically anytime that you really need to have both hands free.

Our suggestion for wearing this trend without looking like a soccer mom or lost tourist? Besides the obvious (don’t wear it with sneakers or sweatpants), look for a small purse that is made of leather or another rich material, one that’s attached to an actual belt with a belt buckle, and has stylish detailing such as a fringe or leather work.

What do you think—are you fashion risky enough to bring back the fanny pack?

Fall 2011 Trend: Yves Klein Blue

While orange and other citrus hues may have been spring and summer’s It colors, for fall and winter things are taking a much more somber note. A deep cobalt blue is going to be the shade for fall ’11, reminiscent of Yves Klein blue and post-World War II art. A close cousin to neutral navy, this is one of the most forgiving It colors we’ve seen in a while.

We’re imagining pairing Yves Klein blue with other shades of blue for a beautiful monochrome look, or with black and cream for a classic taste, or as a backdrop to pops of red or neon. So wear a little or wear a lot—you’re sure to look fabulous.

Hermès bag

The It Bag Hermès Kelly bag is crafted from Epsom calfskin and packaged in a quaint shade of pink dubbed Candy 28. Although this price tag isn’t for kids ($7,250), the bag is the kind of a classic that will be passed down for generations to come.

KristenDunst's for Bulgari

Kirsten Dunst's first advertisement for Bulgari's Mon Jasmir Noir fragrance has surfaced and the actress is featured nude, with random fabric covering up her lady parts, holding an oversized perfume bottle and right next to a gigantic lion. It really makes us...want to smell good, or something.

Last year, Bulgari got into some trouble after the city of Venice banned an ad by the brand featuring Julianne Moore in the buff, surrounded by purses and lion cubs.

Take a look at Kirsten's debut and tell us what you think. And for some behind-the-scenes action,
